The reffing started off strong, started falling apart during that USA-Slovenia game, then got worse and worse. This weekend was atrocious. England tied it against Germany at 2-2 and they waived the goal off. It was obviously in, too. It completely deflated the English side, and turned the game into what it ended as: a beating by Germany. Don't get me wrong, I have no real sympathy for the English side since the defense they played was quite possibly the worst I've ever seen and has been bad the whole tournament...but damn. It's hard to want to try when the refs take a goal like that away. The New Zealand-Italy game was the worst ref'd game I've ever seen, and the England goal that got waived was the worst call of this entire world cup. So sad. Fuck them both, though. Hup Holland hup!
