Neither does any other company. What's your point?

I don't have an image macro suitable for the amount of disappointment that statement caused.

Sony has a few 1st party developers, including Studio Liverpool, and a bunch of 2nd party developers.

Sony also gets royalties off every Blu-Ray movie/game they sell. The PS3 helped push that, thus the PS3 a success.

Freezing/cancelling your cards is retarded. It actually hurts your credit score to do that. Just call one of the bureaus and put a fraud alert on your credit. It's free, takes like 2 minutes, and doesn't hurt your score.

U.S. residents are entitled under U.S. law to one free credit report annually from each of the three major credit bureaus. To order your free credit report, visit
or
call toll-free (877) 322-8228
.

We have also provided names and contact information for the three major U.S. credit bureaus below. At no charge, U.S. residents can have these credit bureaus place a "fraud alert" on your file that alerts creditors to take additional steps to verify your identity prior to granting credit in your name. This service can make it more difficult for someone to get credit in your name. Note, however, that because it tells creditors to follow certain procedures to protect you, it also may delay your ability to obtain credit while the agency verifies your identity. As soon as one credit bureau confirms your fraud alert, the others are notified to place fraud alerts on your file. Should you wish to place a fraud alert, or should you have any questions regarding your credit report, please contact any one of the agencies listed below.

Meh. Just change your password for anything connected to PSN (Facebook, Netflix, etc.) and change your password on any site that shares your PSN password. After that you just have to keep an eye on your bank account for anything suspicious. Placing a fraud alert will automatically notify you if anyone tries to open a line of credit or get a loan or something like that under your name.
