I've found that FCS like F69, Limpet, F73H, Miroku, Monju, and one of the Volutes (I can't remember which one) can all find uses on different AC setups. LCC's FCS Chart is a great tool for really working the stuff out. I would definitely say that F73H is your go-to FCS, though. Start with F73H, then work around to other FCS once you're sure they either fit your style of play or fit your bot better. It's just a really safe and easy to use FCS, haha. I definitely like F69, though. It works pretty good on my RJ. I can see why it might have a hard time vs an F73H Griffon, though. That's all I can imagine Beak having a problem with, though. Unless the missiles were causing more problems then I imagined. I haven't watched the videos yet, hahaha. I need to get on that. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LCC Posted August 10, 2011 Report Share Posted August 10, 2011 I also didn't use decoys on beak. I made all the ACs as quickly as possible so I'm not surprised errors were made. I even forgot pornstar had OB the first time I used it. I'm just so used to using my HM bot I guess. ON the subject of OB on that AC, hovers can make use of it on maps that aren't very flat to great effect as it allows more vertical movement without being as vulnerable. On an HM AC I feel it's best to use U2/Cronus/99UL depending on what weps and BGR you have. You can just move so quickly without OB that it's somewhat redundant. A FT might be in the mix, either double elim or round robin to get more regularity out of it without needing people to post AC matchups every week. Mom Posted August 26, 2011 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2011 (edited) If I did any fantasy tournament it'd be like top 8 or top 16 bots that made the strongest showing for the fantasy duels-- bots like Phil Collins, Pin Prick, Boreas, Angel Eyes, Rad Bromance and Libra. Hell maybe just top 8 nvm. Either that or 16 with those as guaranteed slots. 8 Acs with those 7 round robin style sounds even more dope though. Stream of consciousness aaaaaaah.
