Those would be my picks prolly, at least for ones where I know the work of everyone on the list

I really really hope OPM wins though man it deserves all the recognition it gets

it's the only manga I've read overall I feel is as good as One Piece

also that penciller/inker one is loaded

Jason Aaron ya i don't fk with his work at all

man that pencil/inker list is intense dood erica henderson not there yet

like 3 of those artists mighta put out the best work of their lives and 1 of them was par course but his par course is everyone else's GOAT tier

maybe 5 did best work of their lives idk...Allred maybe not cuz he's done other stuff nearly as good as the silver surfer stuff

The henderson comment was a joke, because her art is also a joke. Course that's just me being an asshole. Her art is what I consider the best of what a webcomic's art can be, and it is on the Squirrel Girl ongoing which is to appeal to a younger audience. It just makes me wince every time I see it. Those fucking lips she draws, jesus.

i like her art tbh

but like babs tarr is killin the game man, she's been one of the best around this year and Batgirl is a top 3 DC Comic right now

Fiona Staples has been god level legit top 5 artist in all of comics for like 3 years now

allred is phenom tier and doin the Lord's Work with that silver surfer art

Alphona basically mirroring Babs' year on ms marvel which is a lowkey great comic as well

The Leaning Girl artist makes everyone look amateur tho fuck

except Quitely thats why he's my pick

Holyland is just about the best martial arts manga I've read. It's a bit on the long side, but I couldn't put it down even during a few classes earlier today. I wouldn't blame you for interpreting the depression and character development throughout as angsty, but it's not portrayed in a typical whiny or edgy manner. The art isn't the most pleasing, but it's very fitting, especially during fights. I think the mangaka did a lot of research too, because the text boxes give a lot of technical/background info, which I appreciated.

I would think so yeah

prolly gonna get an absolute edition some day too

it's standalone as well altho the more u know about comics history the better

i read that book Supergods so I new a lot of the history ahead of time which helped to understand/catch certain things

but i suspect u dont need that

I saw it, flipped through it and went "It's changing the 'status quo' for the sake of it really." I was okay with what they did. But now I'm just hoping they don't do anything crazy from here on in. Capullo nailed it with the art though, as always.

Justice League #40 came out, Darkseid War. I was gonna pick it up but opted not too.

I've given up on most of the bat books myself. Grayson and Sinestro have been the ones I pick up regardless.

Have you picked up any of the Convergence stuff? Like the side stories and shit?
