Oh, regarding Niconico vids you can just as easily type ".am" after the ".jp", you won't have to log on to nico/make a nico account that way, very useful.

 

For example:

Question: How do you search for ACV vids on Niconico? Tips on what and how to search for those would be appericated. Just gimme a few words for 'em + definitions if you can be bothered. :(

I use the "ACV" tag... most of the vids are tagged with that. And thanks for the info bro. That is quite useful to know and I'll post the nico links in that format. I'll still continue posting the youtube versions so people can subxscribe, comment and whatever else they normally do on youtube.

 

Here are two new vids... the first is one of the massive mech matches. This is how Arms Forts should have been in ACFA. The second is part 2 to the pile driver/bunker guy.

Chances are I could take on those massive MTs alone classic style.

 

Kinda has to be classic style...lol. You'd probably need a blade or else you'd run out of ammo. :( The head piece alone has 140,000+ AP. I guess there are little things on the ground helping you shoot it, but I don't think they'd make that much of a difference. lol... I'm wondering if you have to destroy all 5 sections or if just destroying the head will defeat it.

 

Here's a pretty cool video that showed me something I didn't know... you can added projections/posters to your custom garage. That is pretty damn awesome:

I'm loving it, chances are these MMTs will be in the missions and if so then you may have to destroy just the main section which is the head in this case to defeat it.

I've been hearing some things about the main story missions being only 10 missions long. Is that true?

 

I also remember hearing that there are other missions as well, and that some of the Overed Weapons tie into online in regards to unlocking them.

Supposedly. This article I found claims there are over 80. FROM did say there were a lot of extra missions, but if that's the case, that means there are 70 extra mission. A shame if that is what it is; I remember back in '10 when they promised us hour long missions...

Maybe... but imo, it's hard to pull that off, sure you gain a free unlimited ammo and free weapon slot(s) instead of using pilebunkers, but piles are damn light anyways and there's nothing else to equip on a LW imo anyways. LW + Pilebunkers = PWNAGE. And getting to your enemy is no problem as a LW either. At least, not as much of a problem as a HW Biped.

How many hidden parts are in the actual game? From what i'm seeing there's over 100 and that means it'll be a pain finding them all especially if there are timed missions. FROM is making me want to spend money to unlock parts. There's 344 parts in total for all of volumes of part packages btw.

I will say though, going by the demo IDK if I'm going to be as sold on the Sniper Cannons as I thought I was. Not being able to lock on, that's ok. But the movement speed is so goddamn slow, they couldn't have at least given you more control over the aiming, like the farther you push the analog stick the faster it'll move like in FPSs? I know it's a powerful skill weapon, but not being able to lock onto a nimble target like an AC is tough enough but now you can't even track fast enough? IDK, I'm thinking I may end up going with grenades.

There better for defense play. Tanks/Fatties < Sniper Cannon.

3 things that come to mind as to ahy so:

 

-Team vs Team ( or even battle royals ) means that 80% of the time, your target is too busy to be dodging other bullets to get out of your scope. Ok maybe you won't catch LW on Overed Boost unless he didn't see a sniper cannon shell in the nuts. But other weight classes? Especially with the EN regen-rate? I can only say you'd just have to be very patient about taking shots rather than worry about slowness of aiming.

 

-the low ammo of the demo sniper cannon had me conclude it's more of a shoot and drop kind of thing... Like that Algebra back cannon/rpg. Shoot what you can at the start of the battle and drop once they close into your territory and start gunning. So basically you don't need to be a full time sniper with top notch accuracy.... Even if that'd be a spledid idea.

 

-Zoom magnitude and bullet speed on those SC's are insane! Terrain would be a more annoying factor for snipers than the scope movement. You basically have to have the target in the circle and fire and you can almost guarantee a hit. I have to admit that I've been spending lots of time manually sniping and I might accidentally pick it up for ACV.... Which is scary since I never once played long range in AC.... Ever.

Gotta agree with moon walker on this one. And I'm wondering if your leg turn speed affects your scope movement speed. Or something else... knowing Rrom there is something that affects it. If it isn't a visible stat it sure is a hidden stat.

 

 

 

Incoming batch of videos. :( I'm only going to embed a couple so I don't fill the page.

 

First off... I was originally only going to do multiplayer matches, but this was too awesome to pass up. Check out this guy's use of emblems and decaling to create an insanely detailed decal. In addition to a pretty awesome portrait emblem of someone too awesome to not know. :)

 

 

 

Next is an interesting melee weapon. From our understanding it is the KE version of the laser blades (TE) and pile drivers/bunkers (CE)... it looks like he does a huge swing with his fists... lol. Also shows the visual awesomeness of the moonlights... sadly he does not swing them.

 

 

 

Next on our list is a standard freeplay team deathmatch with a pretty standard Battle Rifle/Rifle combo. He also uses a one-of missile sentry gun for light support. It is in the urban city... I love this map.

And finally are two fast paced duels that take place in buried facility (if I remember the name correctly)... the desert in the demo. The music isn't bad and you also get to see a little of the machine gun sentry turret in action. ;)

Back to game development for me. And that stuff is from last night's pickings. I still have another batch of stuff to go through that showed up while I was sleeping. I'll post the next batch that I find later on in the day when I've got some programming done.
