Eternalinventor Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 I was simply reffering to how BA and unique the moonlight looks. If someone were to spot the enemy from afar, that shape will be noticed and the meaning the blade has will be known right away. It is one of a kind with a long history. Ultimately, your are correct that the best situation is one with the enemy off guard. Quote
Pendragon Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 To be honest, the moonlight ALWAYS inspired fear on the battlefield. It's the only blade with it's unique coloration. Â The only thing scarier than that is the black laser blade from Silent Line which has only 3 range, but does double the damage of MOONLIGHT. Quote
Shirtless Crackhead Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 It's a video game, fear really should be part of the equation. Unless alot of money or something is on the line, gambling on said game. Quote
Nomrah Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 I've yet to be afraid of a blade in an AC game. Balance tends to eliminate these sort of things. Quote
Bakuhatsu Pengin Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 acfa 1.2 blading was stronger than guns Quote
Magnus Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Using guns in 1.2 was an open admittance to being mentally handicapped. Quote
Harakiri Tiger Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 The pocket/starter blade in ACV nearly 1hkos anything under 30,000 AP and is 24 meters long compared to the 1.5 - 2 meter length of your AC. The blades are long enough to go entirely through buildings and hit someone on the other side and they all seem to have a really large sweep arc. Moonlight looks absolutely devastating. You know it's gonna have a lot more damage potential than that silly pocket blade and it's never been known as a short weapon either. I won't be surprised if it can 1hko everything besides super heavies and tanks. I have no idea what they're thinking. Maybe you can't hangar it, though. That would be ok. I don't want a 15,000 TE @ 25 meters long blade in the game on easy access, though. That would shatter a lot of stuff. Quote
Griffon Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Wow, the starter blade is that strong? Â From the one screenshot showing the blade it looked a lot smaller than that, and what of the chainsaw blades? Edited September 17, 2011 by Griffon Quote
Liarbird Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 I think the starter blade may be tweaked to being shorter. As for the chainswords... im imagining them, to well... hit some kinda brutal Quote
Harakiri Tiger Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 It's probably not gonna be tweaked, no. Then it would be useless. It's not easy to hit with a blade that has 0 tracking. Even on dedicated servers. Pocket blade can 1hko lights with a decent hit. 2x pocket blade will knock out any midweight if it connects. Scraping damage is solid, too. Roughly 7-10k AP on a scrape with it. Now, Idk if it's actually a pocket blade, but it's easily the smallest blade I've seen in any of the art and such. Moonlight should be legitimately scary as hell. Quote
Shirtless Crackhead Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I am kinda interested in maybe picking up a used copy of this game after it comes out, just to try out using a Moonlight/Finger lightweight. Quote
Obiyer Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Japan release date confirmed: 1/26/2012 Â There may or may not be a headset bundle, sorry, I don't know Japanese. Â Here's the pic: Â http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/2539/armoredcorereleasedate.png Quote

Exile Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I think games are just plain more expensive in Japan. Who the fuck is going to pay $100 USD for an Armored Core title? Quote
Exile Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Dangerously demented individuals, the both of you. Quote
Moon Walker Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 me and niji  I'm on the same list.  Besides, the bright side to having people like us.... umm, eager enough to buy ACV for that price is for you guys to sit back and get your questions answered, not to mention niji already planned we could go claim few lands/territories of our own until the rest of you lot decide to play. On the other hand, we get to rub it in your face about how epic it's gonna be. South Q Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Oi, I'm also on that list as well! Quote
Shirtless Crackhead Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Good luck finding American players online. Quote
